This document describes the new and improved features of JADE (http://jade.barnet.com.au) as at February 2012.
The JADE Home Page is kept up-to-date

You will note that we have more than 151,000 decisions and legislation on line.
New Search Bar (with added intelligence)

Searching for Tabet v Gett is as easy as typing a few letters of each of the names. Of course, if you would like to do one of the famous JADE searches, simply press return. Otherwise, you can jump directly to your case.
And you can also search by citation

And you can type the citation, and find the decision, or citations to that decision. If the decision is in JADE, you will see the words “document in Jade”. Of course, this is not the physical report, but the decision as released originally by the Court or tribunal.
If the decision is not in full text, our CaseCite service will find you references to the decision

Imagine that we are looking for this citation [1983] 1 NSWLR 317. We can type it into the search box, and it will find the case. If the decision is not in JADE, you will see “show citations”.
CaseTrace box gives you key information (up to the second, up-to-date)

With JADE you can search by citations

Searching is that easy
